Terms of Service

These are the terms for using the WitPrompt Chrome extension, the WitPrompt rewrite service, and this website. They're written in plain language on purpose. By installing the extension or using the service you agree to them.

The service

WitPrompt checks the prompts you type on supported AI chat sites and can rewrite them using an AI model. Suggestions and rewrites are generated automatically; they are assistance, not guarantees. You are responsible for what you ultimately send to any AI service, and your use of those sites remains governed by their own terms.

Free tier

Local checks and one-click fixes are free. The free tier also includes a daily allowance of AI rewrites per browser. Free-tier limits may change(up or down) as we balance cost and abuse; we'll reflect the current limit on the pricing page.

Pro subscription

• Pro is a monthly subscriptionbilled through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's checkout and refund terms apply to payments.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing portal (linked on your account page). Pro stays active until the end of the paid period, then your browsers return to the free tier automatically.
• Plan features and limits (rewrites per day, number of browsers) are as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

Acceptable use

Use WitPrompt as a person improving your own prompts. Don't:

• Call the rewrite API with scripts, bots, or anything other than the extension, or otherwise scrape or resell the service;
• Attempt to evade quotas (for example by generating tokens in bulk) or to disrupt the service;
• Use the service for anything unlawful.

We may throttle or block installs or accounts that abuse the service.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise uninterrupted availability, and AI-generated rewrites may be wrong or unsuitable for your purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last month.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the service; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. You can stop using WitPrompt at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any subscription.

Privacy

How we handle your data, including the fact that we don't store your prompts, is described in the Privacy Policy.
